WHO We Are: GeoAid International is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization of professionals offering consulting services and management expertise in the areas of international development to natural resource companies and the surrounding communities. GeoAid has been in existence since 2008 and is honored to work with numerous individual and corporate partners facilitating sustainable community development.
WHAT We Do : GeoAid International integrates social and humanitarian interests into natural resource development and implements corporate social responsibility by working with partners in the US and abroad. GeoAid works with partners across a variety of multi sectors, from health and agriculture to economics and education.
Initially established as the humanitarian arm of Geovic, Ltd, GeoAid reaches beyond the requirements for mining conventions by effectively and economically partnering its mission with the natural resource company’s project(s). Taking a new approach to alleviating the effects of mining on the surrounding communities, GeoAid effectively links projects with appropriate professional resources available within the international community. By engaging early with the project partner to initiate and build interest-based relationships within the local government, institutions, communities, and families, GeoAid helps integrate humanitarian needs and mutual interests of the natural resource company and the community. This approach helps assure that something of value–new skills, broader education, and projects with sustainable economic return are initiated in the beginning and mature among the local peoples and communities throughout the life of the mining operation.
