Bryce Mitchell has 20 years of diversified professional project management experience and consulting including working with local government, directing a non-profit organization, and serving as an executive in the supply chain division of a fortune 30 corporation. His international experience includes an anthropological/cultural tour of the remote Raramuri Indian region of Mexico. He also served as a volunteer on a construction team building a hydro-electric project powering a church mission hospital in Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire). As a young man, Bryce spent a summer traveling in Tanzania and Kenya with missionary relatives. Mitchell, served 4 years as Executive Director of Wyoming Health Fairs, a self-funded non-profit health screening and education organization. Under his direction, this non-profit achieved a 40% growth in budget and services and its’ programs reached approximately 40,000 Wyoming residents annually. Mitchell is an experienced trainer and facilitator having served several years as a Human Resources Management Consultant with major clients in Wyoming and Colorado, including: local government, mining, education, hospital, and not-for-profit organizations. He developed customized workplace training programs in customer service, in addition to providing MSHA (Mine Safety & Health Administration) training for a Wyoming mining equipment company. For seven years, he served in the US Air Force as a SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance & Escape) instructor. Mitchell was selected to teach arctic survival training in Alaska and chosen to train cadet trainers in two summer SERE training programs at the Air Force Academy. He received numerous awards as a leader/instructor and was certified as an Air Force Master Instructor and a Nationally Registered EMT. This former training will be beneficial, as GeoAid’s work often requires working with people in challenging living conditions and primitive environments. Mitchell has an undergraduate degree in Business Management and on-going post-graduate special training in related development areas.
William Mitchell Former Executive Director & Respected Leader
Prior to Bill Mitchell’s passing on September 23, 2011, much of his career centered on Africa. Before accepting the position of executive director with GeoAid International in 2008, Bill Mitchell served as regional manager for Medical Teams International, overseeing USAID grants and programs in Liberia, Mozambique, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Ehiopia. He was also country director for Food for the Hungry in Mozambique and helped establish credit unions in Cameroon through the World Council of Credit Unions. In Zaire/DRC, Bill served as hospital administrator. In addition to his work in nonprofits, Bill worked in management and consulting positions in oil, gas, and banking. His mining experience included MSHA certified training and consulting experience in uranium, gold and coal mining.
Karen Wilkins, Executive Assistant
Karen Wilkins has worked at the GeoAid International USA office as an Executive Assistant since April of 2010. She has worked in administration personnel for over fifteen years and prides herself in assisting management, marketing, and sales departments in successful operations. Karen is by no means, new to the non-profit world as is evident in her many years of dedicated volunteer work at numerous life-changing organizations. She has discovered that helping others is one of her most fulfilling accomplishments and has found that investing her time and efforts into other people’s lives brings ultimate satisfaction.

William A. Buckovic
Mr. Buckovic has been active for over 32 years in the mineral exploration and development business, including the discovery of several major mineral deposits. He has wide ranging experience in the energy minerals, precious metals, advanced metals and ferro-alloy metals businesses and has worked on projects in North America, South America, Australia-Asia, Europe and Africa. Since Bill is also a cultural anthropologist, he is committed to the long-term development of people living in or near natural resources.
Richard Buckovic
Richard “Buck” Buckovic, co-founder of GeoAid International, believes that local communities where natural resource extraction occurs should become the principal recipients of mining activities. He strongly supports the sustainable development that GeoAid diligently strives to achieve. He is a principle shareholder and board member in Geovic Mining Corp and served as senior vice president until 2005. Buckovic graduated from Oregon State University in Monmouth, OR with a degree in Agriculture. His college thesis, as submitted to the Crop Science Department, indicated his initial aspiration to support sustainability in one of the basic resources of life — food. Buckovic was a member/advisor in the FFA chapter, which was chartered in March of 1953 in Scio, OR and became actively involved in agriculture serving as a Vo-Ag instructor in the FFA in Molalla with a State Honorary Degree.
